'No trusted certificate' error when running an OEM Grid Control Web Transaction

Summary

When creating a 'Web Application' in OEM Grid Control and receive the the following error: Details: sun.security.validator.ValidatorException: No trusted certificate found-- This could be because the target web application has a self signed cert or they are using their own CA. Essentially, the beacon is not configured to recognize the Certificate Authority.

Details

1. Shutdown the Agent/beacon. 2. On the Agent, make a backup of $ORACLE_HOME/sysman/config/b64InternetCertificate.txt. 3. Add the contents of the CA cert (e.g., filename.cer) into this file. 4. Restart the Agent.
