Summary
When installing Oracle Application Integration Architecture (AIA) Foundation Pack 2.2.0 on top of Oracle SOA Suite 10.1.3.4, you may encounter the following error:
    The SOA suite server installed at <location> is not the required version (10.1.3.3.0). Please check the SOA server details.
This despite the fact that the Oracle AIA Installation documentation lists the following installation prerequisite:
  • Oracle SOA Suite 10g Release 3 (10.1.3.3 or higher) (32 bit)
So in conclusion:
  • AIA FP 2.2.0 and 2.2.1 are certified to run on Oracle SOA Suite 10g (10.1.3.4).
  • There is a bug in the AIA FP 2.2.0 installer in which it does not install on Oracle SOA Suite 10g (10.1.3.4).
  • To work around this, see steps below.
Details
1. Install Oracle SOA Suite 10g (10.1.3.1).
2. Upgrade to Oracle SOA Suite 10g (10.1.3.3).
3. Install AIA FP 2.2.0.
4. Upgrade to either AIA 2.2.1 or SOA Suite 10.1.3.4 in any order.
